NOT LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER – In the aftermath of the Texas church massacre, there has been an awful lot of condescending commentary from the left, by people who don’t understand either the concept of prayer or the current gun laws (but I’m repeating myself), criticising those who respond to a tragedy by praying instead of demanding new gun laws.
The example of the former is Joy Reid:

The trivial – and inaccurate – answer would be: why would Jesus need to pray to himself?
The more correct answers would be:
1.He did pray: “Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.” (Matthew 14:19)
2. Yes, he did more than just praying – he acted, i.e. fed the hungry. But he did so to 5,000 men (not counting women and children) with five loaves or bread and two fishes. In other words, he performed a miracle. Which is the only way the left will ever get rid of the 2nd amendment. Perhaps they should start praying too.
