EVERYONE HAS GONE FREAKING INSANE – And the insanity is bipartisan.

Example 1:

Self-identified Republicans now have a marginally more favorable view of Kim Jong Un than they do for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), according to a new Ipsos poll done exclusively for The Daily Beast.

The poll of roughly 1,000 adults aged 18 and over was conducted June 14-15, shortly after President Trump’s historic summit with the North Korea dictator. According to the results, 19 percent of Republicans indicated they had a favorable view of Kim with 68 percent saying they had an unfavorable view (12 percent of voters overall had a favorable view of Kim, compared to 75 percent who viewed him unfavorably). That compared slightly better than the perception of Pelosi, who had a 17 percent favorable, 72 percent unfavorable rating among self-identified Republicans.

Example 2:

A new Politico poll conducted ahead of the summit found that 22 percent of the U.S. public expect it to result in significant progress towards North Korean denuclearization while 36 percent think progress will be made, albeit without Pyongyang giving up its nuclear weapons. When asked to name two national or world leaders who pose the greatest threat to world peace and security, Kim Jong-un came out on top with 43 percent.

Vladimir Putin came second with 42 percent, while many Americans still don’t trust their own president who came third with a total of 26 percent. There is an interesting and striking partisan divide in the research: Trump is considered the most threatening world leader among Democrats at 48 percent and that’s higher than both Vladimir Putin (46 percent) and Kim Jong-un (40 percent).

Example 3:

A live TV poll taken on Michelle Wolf’s Netflix show found that 71% of the comedian’s liberal audience would rather peace with North Korea fail than see Donald Trump take credit for it.

The audience was asked, “Are you sort of hoping we don’t get peace with North Korea so you wouldn’t have to give Trump credit?”

Only 29% said they wanted peace with North Korea given the option.

Without much satisfaction I note that the insanity seems to be significantly more mainstreamed on the left than on the right.

But really, people, you’ve been increasingly going full retard. Never go full retard. That’s not how you do politics. Keep your goddamned cool and a goddamned perspective on things. However much you might dislike or disagree with your domestic opposition, they are not worse than bloodthirsty communist dictators. They’re also not Hitler. All you’re doing is giving yourself a high blood pressure and increasing a chance of a stroke. You’re also the part of the problem, namely how democratic politics in developed countries are getting increasingly fragile and discredited.
